About the CustomerCompany is one of the leading road freight operators in Europe with distribution networks in North America and Africa.About the RoleDesignation : Manager / Sr. Manager / HOD – Customs BrokeragePurpose of the positionEnsure profit contribution & development for Customs Brokerage product by managing vendors, operation, establishing and accomplishing business objectives by meeting client expectations.Key Tasks
  • Tapping & supporting the sales team for Potential New Business Opportunities.
  • Incremental growth in profits QoQ as per target.
  • Achievement of Outstanding Collections as per target for Customs Brokerage product
  • Maintenance of Operational Cost Control for the dept as per target
  • Retention of High Revenue Generating Customers
  • Achievement of clearance target as per CSOP / SOP/ SLA.
  • Adherence to defined TAT for providing best rates to customer Enquiry
  • Timely updation of new customs, DGFT, BIS, WPC, PGA's notifications & circular to all
concerned.
  • Meeting up clients, Customs officials, work closely and support all internal and external
customers as per deadlines.
  • Enhance team skills on the customs knowledge and updation on skills
  • Responsible for compliance and secure any impact to our brokerage license.
Decision Making AuthorityDecision authority as delegated by the Regional Manager Customs Brokerage/ Branch Manager /Regional Head / Director, Customs Brokerage in accordance with DSV regulationsFunction / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Process workingCustoms 'G' or 'F' card holder with complete knowledge on the Customs Act, DGFT policies & procedures, all allied Acts for customs clearance activities and understanding of process involved on day to day functions of customs clearance.Work Location:BangaloreWork Experience:10-13 Years of experienceBackground and RequirementsJob RequirementsSkills & Competencies
  • Manage the team and ensure deliverables are met as per requirement internal and external.
  • Regularly updated on competencies on changes in Customs act, finance act for indirect taxes, etc.
  • Should be a G-card or F-card Holder
  • Subject matter expert for customs brokerage product
  • Team Player and Leader
Educational background / Work experience
  • Mandatory work experience 10 -13 years in the Forwarding industry
  • Mandatory work experience 4-6 years in team management
  • Graduation/Post Graduation, Management qualification (preferred)
Language SkillsFluent in English (other languages depending on the location)Computer Literacy
  • MS Office skills
  • Good knowledge regarding DSV IT systems
