Our team of 400+ elite software engineers solve hard technical problems while transforming customer ideas into successful products.RequirementsThis individual's main responsibilities will be supporting our existing web properties by maintaining and improving existing functionality, as well as implementing new functionality or modules. Additionally they will be working with the front-end developers on the team to implement functionality necessary to enable them to build cutting edge, high performing customer experiences.Our self hosted sites are built on Drupal (version 10), with the community site being hosted on Vanilla Forums/Higher Logic. Primary language for development is PHP, though experience writing and interfacing with JavaScript and CSS will be a strong plus.Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop web solutions in Drupal and PHP in a LAMP environment
  • Architect enterprise Drupal solutions including data, display, and information architecture
  • Create custom Drupal modules
  • Participate in the entire development life cycle, from concept to release
  • Implement new features and utilities, and support as well as improve the ones we have already built
  • Work closely with front-end developers and customers to ensure effective, visually appealing, functional and intuitive implementation of functionality
  • Have expert knowledge of PHP, PHP files and theme functions, and knowledge of the Drupal theme layer
  • Maintain code in a shared, version controlled code base, and assist in executing scheduled deployments and product releases.
  • Participate in QA and bug triage and resolution
Desired Skills:
  • 4+ years software development experience
  • 4+ years web application development
  • 4+ years PHP development in a professional setting
  • 4+ years MySQL experience
  • 4+ years professional experience developing for/with Drupal
  • Solid understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with frequent production releases
Good-to-Have
  • Experience implementing solutions in JavaScript and CSS implementation
  • Experience implementing responsive designs for mobile, tablet, and desktop browsers
  • Familiarity with React, Redux or Bakbone.js
  • Experience working with and building REST based APIs
  • Knowledge of SEO coding best practices
