This includes ensuring the reliability, functionality, and safety of all civil assets, coordinating repairs, troubleshooting problems, and maintaining high safety standards across airside and landside infrastructure. The Lead manages a maintenance team and collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth airport operations.Responsibilities:Civil Infrastructure Maintenance Oversight:Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of key civil infrastructure, including airside and landside facilities.Ensure the timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for all civil structures, minimizing disruptions to airport operations.Budget and Resource Management:Manage the operating budget for civil infrastructure maintenance, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining quality.Plan and oversee capital expenditure (Capex) and operational expenditure (Opex) for maintenance projects.Issue Diagnosis and Problem Solving:Diagnose issues related to the civil infrastructure, such as cracks in runways, drainage blockages, or pavement degradation.Implement appropriate repairs, including scheduling emergency maintenance for critical infrastructure failures, to minimize operational downtime.Collaboration with Airport Operations Teams:Coordinate with air traffic control, ground crews, and operations teams to ensure maintenance activities do not affect flight schedules.Ensure that all maintenance and servicing activities are carried out safely and effectively without compromising airport operations.Vendor and Contractor Management:Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors providing civil maintenance services, ensuring their work meets the required standards.Oversee contract negotiations, resource allocation, and the performance of service providers to ensure cost-effective maintenance operations.Inventory Management:Oversee the entire inventory lifecycle, from procurement and storage to distribution and replenishment, ensuring accurate records and seamless operations.Maintenance Scheduling and Execution:Develop and manage a comprehensive schedule for routine and emergency maintenance activities, ensuring that all tasks are performed in line with operational needs.Prioritize maintenance tasks based on criticality and urgency, coordinating with other departments to avoid conflicts with airport operations.Regulatory Compliance and Safety Assurance:Ensure all civil infrastructure maintenance activities comply with local, national, and international safety and regulatory standards.Regularly conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure adherence to aviation industry regulations and the airport's safety protocols.Emergency Response:Lead the response to emergency infrastructure failures, ensuring prompt diagnosis and resolution of issues that may impact airport safety or operations.Develop and implement contingency plans for unplanned disruptions, ensuring rapid recovery and minimal impact on airport functions.Budget and Resource Management:Track the budget for civil engineering and maintenance activities.Optimize the allocation of resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel.Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and performance standards.Team Management and Development:Supervise and guide the civil engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Ensure proper training and effective communication and collaboration within the team and with other departments.Project Planning and Execution:Lead the planning, and execution of civil engineering and maintenance projects, including expansions, upgrades, and rehabilitation works.Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, budgets, and timelines.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.Digital Mindset:Lead the adoption of digital tools and technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance processes (e.g., predictive maintenance systems, data analytics).Drive the integration of digital solutions to improve workflow automation, asset management, and monitoring of civil infrastructure.Team Leadership and Development:Lead, mentor, and motivate the civil maintenance team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and resources to perform effectively.Implement training programs to enhance the team's capabilities and foster a culture of continuous improvement.Continuous Improvement and Innovation:Identify and implement best practices in civil infrastructure maintenance to drive operational efficiency and improve service quality.Encourage innovation in maintenance methods, leveraging new technologies and processes to improve infrastructure longevity and reduce costs.Key Stakeholders -
