What's the role You are a talented DevOps Engineer who is a self-motivated, team-player with experience designing, developing, and automating production infrastructure and pipelines. Are you ready to work on cutting-edge, cloud-based, large scale, product within an operations team We are expanding at our Bangalore office and are looking for the person who fits in this role. You will develop and support self-service tools, platforms, and automation focused on the deployment and operation of HERE's mapping applications and services. Your expertise in this area will enable HERE's development teams to rapidly develop and deploy key system components and solutions. This role is crucial to as we continue to improve the way we work. Some things you will get to do: Build self-serve tools/frameworks necessary to deploy and maintain complex applications quickly and easily. Work with development teams to enable robust CI/CD pipelines and mentor team-mates on standard practices Work alongside development teams to find the best system architecture for our services and ensure application architectures comply with operational Non-Functional Requirements. Develop release approach using automated, containerized deployment techniques. Develop automation scripts, daemons, and APIs to reduce operational overhead. Evaluate new tools and techniques to drive efficiencies. Manage Cloud infrastructure services and accounts. Analyze root causes of issues and provide corrective actions and work within our Problem Management processes to drive continuous improvement and meet customer SLA expectations. Who are you You are a go-getter with 2 to 4 years of experience in designing, developing, and automating production infrastructure and pipelines with a BE/BTECH/MCA degree Strong programming skills with at least 2 years of experience Python experience required Understanding of cloud-based technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience with deployment automation systems (e.g. Jenkins, Gitlab, etc.) Experience with distributed systems Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Puppet are desired Unix systems administration and scripting skills are desired Interest in high throughput, low latency, highly reliable systems at scale Interest in DevOps methodologies to drive throughput and stability Experience with relational databases Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, XML, JSON, network programming and message exchange systems using tools like SoapUI, etc. Experience configuring and using monitoring tools for internal datacenter infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, & containers (Nagios, DataDog, & CloudWatch) Strong analytical skills What we Offer We will support you in delivering your day-to-day tasks and achieving your personal goals and develop your skills.
