As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. Using your technical and leadership expertise, you run Engineering-focused projects that are well-defined under supervision. As a Technical Program Manager, you will identify, scope, and manage projects that increase the value of Alphabet's Enterprise Network and other networking products and services to our users and customers. You will focus on our customer's needs, aligning them to either our standard solutions or managing the engineering of new products to the market. Responsibilities Partner with Network Engineers, Software Engineers, and Project Managers to deliver large technical networking projects, leading cross-functional collaboration between internal teams and external vendors. Manage and drive the delivery of LANs and WANs, leveraging automation and software programs, coordinating with global delivery teams, and facilitating the delivery of efficient network services. Work with management to design and launch new processes, institute process improvements, and ensure the efficient/reliable achievement of process objectives. Abstract, organize, and structure process objectives, and workflows. Improve Google's ability to accurately forecast network demand, increase network capacity, decrease network cost, and achieve maximum efficiency through design and automation. Develop reports to track scope, schedule, budget, issues, risks, and overall status. Coordinate with stakeholders to manage, track, and control project issues to ensure timely delivery.
