Welcome to the forefront of space innovation with Skyroot Aerospace!Essential Responsibilities:· Lead a dynamic team focused on designing efficient thermal systems for launch vehicles, covering aero-thermal analysis, the design and validation of internal and external thermal protection systems (TPS), design and analysis of electronic packages, etc.· Proven leadership in guiding cross-functional teams through the design process, ensuring successful thermal system integration and delivery for launch readiness.· Demonstrate strong system-level thinking and the ability to provide design recommendations based on simulation and experimental data to optimize thermal performance.Preferred skills and experience:· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in the field.· Proven expertise in thermal modelling and analysis for both external/internal Thermal Protection Systems (TPS) and electronic package thermal design, as well as solid/liquid rocket motor fluid-thermal analysis.· Expertise in aerothermodynamics, including proficiency in heat transfer, thermodynamics, and high-temperature material science, specifically tailored to atmospheric re-entry conditions, supported by experience in computational tools and experimental techniques relevant to TPS design and validation.· Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse challenges from a physical standpoint and deliver timely, system-level solutions.· Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet all technical, mission, and safety requirements.· Good knowledge/experience in programming, applied mathematics, and high-performance computing, CFD & FEA Modelling.· Skilled in developing and validating numerical models for re-entry environments, high-temperature combustion environments, including ablative material behaviour and performance of active thermal protection systems using industry-standard programming languages such as MATLAB, Python.· A commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in aerospace thermal protection technologies and methodologies.
