Your role: System Design and Architecture: Design and implement robust on-prem and on-cloud SLES, Red Hat, and AIX-based systems and architectures that align with organizational goals and industry best practices. Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions for SLES, Red Hat, and AIX platforms to meet performance and scalability requirements. Individually drive demands coming in from various sectors till the completion of the project. Prepare High Level Design, Low Level Design, Bill of Materials, Implementation Guide, Operations Guide documentations based on project needs Define Technology Road Maps and Strategies based on Business Needs and Market standards. Define Datacenter consolidation road maps Infrastructure Management: Indepth knowledge to manage, maintain and troubleshoot SLES, Red Hat, CentOS and AIX based solutions. Indepth knowledge on high availability solutions like Pacemaker, IBM Spectrum Scale (GPFS), Lustre Parallel Filesystems, Indepth knowledge on security hardening and CIS standards. Indepth knowledge on performance tunings on OS Indepth knowledge on IaaS solutions from major cloud providers like AWS, GCP Implement and enforce security measures on OS based on CIS standards. Indepth Knowledge on Hardware Platforms and Virtualization Platform Performance Optimization: Indepth knowledge on monitoring solutions and historic performance data analsys Provide capacity management inputs based on these analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize applications and infrastructure on these platforms for maximum efficiency. Audit and Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular audits of SLES, Red Hat, and AIX systems to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations. Implement vulnerability management processes, including regular scans, assessments, and remediation activities. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Provide expert-level support for SLES, Red Hat, and AIX-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement timely resolutions. Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimize future incidents. Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain scripts for automating routine tasks on SLES, Red Hat, and AIX systems, ensuring operational efficiency. Indepth knowledge on one of the configuration management tools like Ansible or Salt Stack Indepth understanding on Orchestration tools like StackStorm , VMware Orchestrator Indept understanding on Infrastructure as a Code concept. Identity and Access Management: Indepth knowledge of Least Privilege Management concept on Linux/Unix Indepth knowledge on Linux/Unix AD Integration for user Management. Implement and manage Centrify user management solutions for secure and efficient identity and access management across SLES, Red Hat, and AIX environments. Ensure proper authentication, authorization, and auditing controls are in place. Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with other IT professionals, including system administrators and developers, to ensure seamless integration of SLES, Red Hat, and AIX systems. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures. Who you are: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant experience of minimum 12 years Proven experience as a SLES, Red Hat, AIX Architect, or a similar role. In-depth knowledge of SLES, Red Hat, and AIX operating systems and associated technologies. In-depth knowledge on IaaS solutions from various cloud providers Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, etc.) for automation and task simplification. Experience with configuration management tools Familiarity with StackStorm for event-driven automation. Expertise in Centrify user management solutions. Indepth understanding of networking protocols, security principles, and best practices. Experience with audit processes and vulnerability management.
