adept at Electrical Design, Single Line Diagram (SLD), BOM release using ePlan P8, General Arrangement drawings using ePlan Pro Panel Production and Testing Support for Industrial Machineries and Equipment such as Medical Equipment, Printing, Packaging, Converting, Textile and Paper machineries and discrete product machineries.Designer will be responsible for developing electrical design, drawings and Bill of Materials based on customer requirements and participate in concept, design, production, testing, safety, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting reviews with customer.Essential Function:Prepare and update schematics, SLDs, wiring diagrams, GA/layouts, earthing/grounding layouts, lighting layouts, and cable routing drawings.Develop panel layouts, termination diagrams, interconnection diagrams, and cable schedules.Produce BOMs, equipment layouts, load lists, and datasheets, ensuring correct part numbers and quantities.Maintain drawing quality, revision control, and CAD standards.Perform/calibrate design calculations: load estimation, voltage drop, short‑circuit levels, cable sizing, fault levels, and protective device selection (in coordination with engineers).Support design reviews, HAZOP/constructability reviews, and address RFIs and design clarifications.Ensure designs comply with relevant standards (e.g., UL508A, IEC, NEMA, British (BS), European, IS, NEC IEEE and other standards) and internal design guides.Apply best practices in earthing, lightning protection, segregation, EMC/EMI, and safety.Collaborate within a global team of engineers from North America, Italy, and IndiaConduct self‑checks and peer reviews of drawings and documents.Capture lessons learned and help improve templates, libraries, and CAD standards.Preferred skills and knowledge :Experience in calculation and selection of Motors, Drives, AC Load calculations, low and medium voltage switchgear systems, including related protective devices and relays, cables, electrical components, field devices and associated accessories based upon application & design standards.Experience in handling low and medium voltage motor control systems (MCC), including solid state systemsExperience in industrial control and protection schemes as they apply to electrical distribution systems, motor controls and electrical systemsHands on experience in preparation of single and three-line diagrams, panel IGA & OGA drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, design of cable trays & wireways and P&IDs based upon technical specifications and requirements of customer, preferably in Printing, Packaging and Converting MachinesKnowledge in the principles of operation and standard electrical maintenance practices as related to electrical switchgear, generators, transformers, and power distribution equipmentKnowledge of major OEM motors & emergency standby generators, uninterruptable power supplies, motor controls, generator controls, transformers, and related protective relaysKnowledge of materials, components and equipment used in all aspects of electrical installationsFamiliar with electrical safety practices and procedures including NFPA70E and OSHA regulationsKnowledge of UL508A, IEC, NEMA, British (BS), European, IS, NEC IEEE and other standardsExperience in designing and testing Safety Interlocks in compliance with safety standards based on customer requirementsExperience in creating symbols, assigning metadata to fields, creating macros, 3D macros and Drilling Patterns using EPLANExperience in creating and updating functional specifications of machinesExperience in the replacement of obsolete electrical parts by maintaining Form, Fit and Functions of the existing design of the machinesExperience in performing risk assessments and preparing drawings and SRS documentsKnowledge in GUI programming support for SmartTouch using Ignition (not mandatory but an added advantage if available)Software:E-Plan P8 and above (Latest version preferred)AutoCAD ElectricalMS Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.Soft Skills:Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills in EnglishStrong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with client teamLogical and systematic problem-solving skillsAbility to quickly adapt to changing prioritiesTeamworking skills with ability to work on his ownTime management and organizational skillsAttention to detailEducation & Experience:Diploma/bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.Minimum of Five to Eight years of electrical design experience in Industrial Machineries/Equipment and discrete product machinery.Experience in Printing, Packaging and Converting Machines
