  • Driving the end to end HR processes for:
  • Commercial - East region: 100 FTE + 120 Contingent Workforce
  • Manage East Regional office administration and compliances
  • Scale up people and organizational capability to the next level, for delivering accelerated and profitable growth in the business.
2. Key responsibilities -
  • Support implementation of HR operating model within India to support AkzoNobel' s transformation to create a fit-for-purpose paints and coatings company
  • Ensure alignment of HR processes with business by engaging proactively with business leaders and their respective team members
  • Coordinate with HR in regions/ plants to standardize HR practices and compile data for weekly/ monthly reviews
  • Manpower budgeting & tracking - Commercial Organization structure efficiency & Headcount planning for on roll and off roll headcount
  • Work closely with business and provide HR solutions to ensure business delivery, like capability building, retention measures, engagement initiatives
  • Responsible for Managing Employee Life Cycle Events proactively events like recruitment, joining, induction, promotion, increments, exit etc.
  • Talent Management - identify high performers and potential employees and create developmental plans & career paths for them
  • To drive human resources practices and policies to ensure standardization and consistency in documentation & implementation of human resource practices and policies across
  • Drive performance management process as per process guidelines & timelines
  • Create and sustain awareness of integrity and discipline. Execute disciplinary actions as required
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives & fun @ work initiatives for respective BU's
Functional Responsibilities/Network -
  • Work closely with Lines managers & respective Regional & National heads to implement HR processes
  • As a member of HR team, participate & contribute to strategic HR projects, to conceptualize and implement relevant HR processes and systems
  • Drive adoption of Functional Competency Frameworks & Assessments in line with regional/global directives
  • Foster collaboration between HR BPs, CoEs and People Services
Job requirements -Qualifications:
  • Post Graduate in PM/HR or MBA (specialization HR) from reputed institute
  • Relevant experience of 5-7 years in Generalist HR profile
Functional Skills/Competencies
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR practices and policies
  • Business Understanding & Acumen
  • Should have expertise in at least a couple of HR verticals i.e. Recruitment, Training & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Appraisal Systems, HRIS etc.
  • Should be aware and knowledgeable about contemporary HR systems like Competency Profiling, Engagement models, etc.
  • Able to think strategically and translate business strategy into HR strategy and actionable plans
  • Execution oriented, thorough, analytical, strong project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly effective in a matrix organization structure
  • Organizationally savvy - able to build relationships easily, sell ideas and influence effectively
  • Expertise in Microsoft packages, specifically Excel
