As the Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for driving sustainability initiatives and managing projects within facilities. You will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to promote environmental stewardship, resource efficiency, and social responsibility across our semiconductor manufacturing facilities. Roles & Responsibility: - Key Responsibilities Develop and Implement Sustainability Strategies: Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive sustainability strategies, policies, and initiatives tailored to semiconductor manufacturing facilities. Collaborate with semiconductor production teams to integrate sustainability principles into facility operations and processes. Project Management: Manage sustainability projects specific to semiconductor facilities, including cleanroom optimization, chemical management, waste minimization, and energy efficiency upgrades. Coordinate with semiconductor engineers, facility managers, and equipment vendors to ensure projects meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. Cleanroom Optimization: Oversee cleanroom optimization efforts to minimize energy consumption, enhance air quality, and reduce environmental impact. Implement best practices for cleanroom design, operation, and maintenance to improve efficiency and sustainability performance. Chemical Management: Develop and implement protocols for safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals used in semiconductor manufacturing processes. Collaborate with semiconductor engineers and chemical suppliers to identify safer alternatives and reduce chemical usage and emissions. Waste Minimization: Implement waste minimization programs to reduce waste generation, increase recycling rates, and minimize environmental pollution. Work with waste management vendors to optimize waste segregation, collection, and disposal practices in compliance with regulatory requirements. Energy Efficiency: Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency in semiconductor facilities through equipment upgrades, process optimizations, and energy management strategies. Implement energy-saving measures to reduce electricity consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal stakeholders, including semiconductor engineers, facility managers, production teams, and senior leadership, to foster awareness, support, and participation in sustainability initiatives. Collaborate with industry organizations, government agencies, and research institutions to share best practices and drive innovation in sustainable facility management. Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and analyse environmental performance metrics specific to semiconductor facilities, such as cleanroom air quality, chemical usage, waste generation, and energy consumption. Prepare sustainability reports, presentations, and communications to stakeholders, management, clients, and regulatory agencies to demonstrate progress and compliance with sustainability goals. Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about environmental regulations, codes, and standards relevant to semiconductor manufacturing facilities. Ensure compliance with semiconductor industry standards (e.g., SEMI S2, SEMI S22) and regulatory requirements related to environmental protection, occupational health, and safety. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in sustainability management, facility management, or semiconductor manufacturing. Strong understanding of sustainability principles, environmental issues, and best practices in semiconductor facility management. Experience with semiconductor manufacturing processes, cleanroom operations, and chemical management. Proven project management skills, including project planning, execution, and evaluation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Familiarity with environmental regulations, codes, and standards relevant to semiconductor manufacturing. Professional certifications in sustainability (e.g., LEED, ISO 14001) and semiconductor industry standards (e.g., SEMI S10, SEMI S23) are preferred.
