Job Description:Are you interested in building large-scale distributed infrastructure for the cloud? Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure team is building new Infrastructure-as-a-Service(IaaS) technologies that operate at a high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Our customers run their businesses on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with best-in-class compute, storage, networking, database, security, and an ever-expanding set of foundational cloud-based services.Imagine the usage data records collected by your local electric utility. Let's increase the complexity to collect such usage records for 100 different resource types across 1000s of Cloud/IaaS customers, millions of resource instances with the greatest accuracy and lowest possible delay. We the OCI-metering are taking on this problem. We build and operate a big data pipeline to aggregate resource usage for billing our customers and a console to help our customers visualize their usage and cost to best optimize it. Our goal is to have a delay of few seconds from the point a resource instance is created to the point when a customer can view the usage/billing in their respective dashboard.We're looking for a seasoned software developer with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems, building valuable experiences for customers, and creating highly available services that operate at the internet scale. We need strong engineering leaders to build new services from the ground up.Requirements:

4+ years' experience delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
Strong knowledge of designing and developing RESTful web services
Strong knowledge of modern object-oriented languages (Java), PL/SQL, RDBMS databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
Proven background in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
Ability to technically lead a domain and mentor junior engineers
Practical knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures.
Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences
Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure is a strong plus.
Nice to have: Python 3, Bigdata processing with Apache Spark, data pipelines
