As the Senior Mechanical Engineer for our Electric Vehicle Segment, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and components for our EV lineup. You will be responsible for collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure the successful execution of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, a passion for electric vehicles, and a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities : Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and components for electric vehicles, including chassis, body structures, thermal management systems, drivetrain components, and battery systems. Manage and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, providing guidance, technical expertise, and support to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, software engineering, and manufacturing, to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into vehicle platforms. Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance evaluations to optimize design concepts and validate engineering solutions. Drive innovation by staying abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in electric vehicle engineering. Lead design reviews, technical meetings, and brainstorming sessions to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement. Develop and maintain design documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and test plans, in accordance with regulatory standards and industry requirements. Support the procurement and sourcing of materials, components, and suppliers, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with project requirements. Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and contractors to leverage expertise, resources, and capabilities as needed. Adhere to established engineering processes, quality standards, and project timelines to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the automotive industry with a focus on electric vehicles. Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex engineering projects from concept to production. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB) for design and analysis. Strong knowledge of electric vehicle architecture, components, and systems, including battery technology, power electronics, and electric drivetrains. Familiarity with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and industry certifications for electric vehicles (e.g., ISO 26262, SAE J3016, UN ECE R100). Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail. Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Proven leadership abilities, including team building, coaching, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
