What will you do? (Responsibilities):Project Management:

Lead and manage mechanical design projects from concept through production.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including industrial designers, electrical engineers, product managers, and manufacturing teams.
Ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

User-Centric Design:

Incorporate user feedback and ergonomic considerations into the design process.
Develop innovative and user-friendly mechanical designs that enhance the consumer experience.
Balance aesthetics with functionality, ensuring products are both visually appealing and practical.

Design and Development:

Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Conduct simulations and stress analysis to ensure product durability and performance.
Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for product components.

Prototyping and Testing:

Build and test prototypes to validate design concepts.
Perform design verification and validation testing to ensure product performance and reliability.
Analyse test data and implement design improvements as necessary.

Documentation and Compliance:

Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, test plans, and reports.
Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure product quality and reliability.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, consumer preferences, and technologies.
Identify opportunities for design and process improvements.
Implement best practices in mechanical design and project management.

What do we need? (Requirements):

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
8+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the Consumer Electronics, IoT-Smart appliances, medical devices, Home or Kitchen automation devices.
Proven track record of successfully managing and completing design projects.
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and mechanical principles.
Experience with user-centric design and industrial design principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
