This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions, ensuring that designs meet functional requirements, industry standards, and manufacturing feasibility. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, proficiency in CAD software, and a keen understanding of materials and manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities: Product Design: Develop detailed mechanical designs for new products, considering functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturability. Collaborate with the product development team to ensure designs align with project specifications and goals. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed designs. CAD Modeling and Simulation: Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create 3D models and 2D drawings. Perform simulations and analyses to validate and optimize designs. Iterate and refine designs based on simulation results and testing feedback. Materials and Manufacturing Knowledge: Select appropriate materials based on product requirements and constraints. Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs can be efficiently and cost-effectively produced. Provide support during the prototyping and testing phases. Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure the reliability and performance of designed products. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address any issues or concerns. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and design rationale. Ensure all designs adhere to relevant industry standards and regulations. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers, and project managers. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide project updates and address any concerns. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical design. Participate in design reviews and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerance analysis. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and collaboration abilities. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations
