Job Description :Senior HR ManagerLocation: SambalpurDepartment: Human ResourcesIndustry: Iron & Steel (Stainless Steel Division)Reports To: Head of HR / CHRORole SummaryThe Senior HR Manager will oversee the Human Resources function for the Stainless Steel division at Shyam Metaliks. This role involves driving comprehensive HR initiatives, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, statutory compliance, and HR strategy aligned with business objectives. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in managing the workforce for both plant operations and corporate support.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
  • Lead recruitment efforts for managerial, technical, and shop-floor positions specific to stainless steel manufacturing.
  • Establish a talent pipeline for critical roles through engagement with consultants, institutes, and local talent networks.
  • Ensure manpower planning aligns with production and business requirements.
Employee Relations & Industrial Relations (ER/IR)
  • Foster harmonious employee relations at plant locations.
  • Manage union negotiations, grievance redressal, and disciplinary procedures in compliance with labor laws.
  • Implement employee engagement programs to enhance retention and workplace satisfaction.
Performance & Talent Management
  • Implement Performance Management Systems (PMS) with clear KPIs/KRAs tailored to steel operations.
  • Identify high-potential employees and support succession planning.
  • Drive capability-building initiatives, including technical training and leadership development.
Compliance & HR Operations
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (Factories Act, Labor Laws, PF, ESIC, etc.).
  • Oversee payroll, attendance, shift scheduling, and HRIS systems.
  • Conduct regular HR audits for compliance and process enhancement.
Organizational Development & Culture
  • Collaborate with business leaders to cultivate a performance-driven and safety-focused culture.
  • Advocate for diversity, safety, and sustainability initiatives within the stainless steel division.
  • Drive change management during expansions, modernization, or restructuring projects.
Skills & Competencies
  • Profound knowledge of HR & IR practices in manufacturing/steel/heavy industry.
  • Familiarity with stainless steel operations manpower needs and unionized environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic HR vision with operational execution.
Educational & ExperienceRequirementsRequirements:
  • MBA/PGDM in HR/MSW (Human Resources & Industrial Relations) from a reputable institute.
  • Minimum 7 years of HR experience, with at least 5
