Job Description:Job DescriptionEngineer / Senior Engineer – FinishesQualificationBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech Civil) – MandatoryExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience in high-rise building construction with finishing worksJob LocationProject Site (High-Rise Residential Projects)Role OverviewThe candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, and monitoring finishing works at project sites. The role involves coordinating with subcontractors and site teams to ensure proper execution of blockwork, plastering, putty works, and other finishing activities required for completion of core and shell works.The position will report to the Manager – Finishing Execution (Finishing Incharge) and will support smooth finishing operations across the project.Key ResponsibilitiesFinishing Works ExecutionSupervise execution of blockwork, internal and external plastering, putty works, and related finishing activities.Ensure finishing works are executed as per approved drawings, architectural specifications, and quality standards.Monitor daily finishing activities and ensure progress aligns with project schedules.Work Planning & CoordinationAssist the Finishing Incharge in planning daily and weekly finishing activities.Coordinate with tower execution teams and subcontractors for timely execution of finishing works.Ensure availability of materials, manpower, and tools required for finishing operations.Subcontractor SupervisionSupervise finishing subcontractors and labour teams at site.Monitor productivity and ensure subcontractors follow approved construction methods and quality standards.Report delays or performance issues to the Finishing Incharge.Quality ControlEnsure finishing works meet required workmanship and surface finish standards.Conduct inspections for block alignment, plaster thickness, surface leveling, and putty finish.Identify defects and ensure proper rectification before further finishing stages.Site CoordinationCoordinate with civil execution teams for handover of structural work areas for finishing works.Work closely with planning, quality, and procurement teams to support finishing activities.Resolve site execution challenges related to finishing works.Documentation & ReportingMaintain records of finishing work progress and daily site activities.Assist in quantity verification and measurements for billing purposes.Prepare daily and weekly reports on finishing progress.Safety ComplianceEnsure safe working conditions during finishing activities.Ensure workers follow site safety procedures and PPE requirements.Technical Skills RequiredStrong knowledge of blockwork, plastering, and putty application techniquesAbility to interpret architectural drawings and finishing detailsExperience in finishing works in high-rise residential or commercial projectsKnowledge of material usage and finishing construction practicesProficiency in MS Excel and AutoCADPreferred SkillsStrong coordination with execution teams and subcontractorsGood understanding of finishing work sequencing and site planningAttention to detail in surface finishing and quality checksAbility to manage multiple finishing work fronts
