About the role: The Purpose of this role is to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, implementing best practices, and managing a team of payroll professionals. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, including but not limited to: Calculating wages, deductions, and overtime Processing payroll transactions accurately and on time Payroll Accounting- JVs, Accruals, GL reconciliation, managing Internal and Statutory audits Ensuring compliance with India and APAC countries regulations Handling payroll inquiries and discrepancies promptly and professionally Manage payroll system(s) and related technologies to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency Collaborate with other relevant departments to implement system enhancements and updates Troubleshoot issues and provide support to payroll team members as needed Develop and implement payroll policies, procedures, and controls to maintain accuracy and compliance Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations and update policies accordingly Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and compliance Lead and mentor a team of payroll professionals, providing guidance, training, and support as needed Set performance objectives and provide regular feedback to team members Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes with other business functions Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives as needed. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and address issues Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required. Shared Services experience will be a plus 10+ years of experience in payroll processing and management, with demonstrated expertise in payroll best practices, regulations, and systems. 5+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with proven ability to effectively manage a team. Strong knowledge of payroll systems and software Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive payroll information Requisition ID: 581129 As a leader in medical science for more than 40 years, we are committed to solving the challenges that matter most - united by a deep caring for human life.
