Prepares/cooks food items and dishes using the grill, flat top, oven, fryer, steamer, toaster/salamander, small kitchen appliances, and kitchen utensils including various knives Prepares all food following recipes as written; Follows all kitchen portion control measures. Makes cooking adjustments to accommodate guest requests. Assists with maintaining proper inventory levels; Communicates items with low inventory and may be responsible for making purchases within prescribed guidelines Ensures all Kitchen procedures are followed including proper receiving, storage, labeling, rotation, and portion control of food items; Follows cost containment and food waste best practices Prepares thawing, prep work, side work, and stocking lists and cleaning assignments Ensures all Environmental, Health, Safety, Cleaning and Sanitation policies and procedures are followed; Responsible for maintaining clean and organized kitchen Assists with employee training and schedules, and supervises Kitchen employees; Participates in employee performance evaluations Assists with monitoring employee hours, approving time sheets, and submitting department payroll Ensures timely and accurate completion departments reports and logs; Communicates equipment issues and accidents Works with other departments to coordinate food service for special events and resale. Knows and follows all company, Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Programs. Requirements Experience: 1 to 3 years as supervisor in Hotel Industry Knowledge of kitchen, food, and cleaning standards. Excellent supervisory, leadership, training, and communication skills. Strong customer service, time-management, organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated.
