By harnessing automation, CI/CD pipelines, and agentic AI, we’re creating solutions that drive efficiency and innovation across our business.Job DescriptionWhat Youll Be Doing (Position Summary):TheSeniorManager, Quality Engineeringleads the Quality Engineering (QE) team within CIBCsET QAgroup. This roleis responsible foroverseeing all aspects of the system testing process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client needs and organizational standards. The incumbent manages the design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts, coordinates end-to-end test support and governance, and drives continuous improvement of testing processes. Theincumbentworks collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient execution of testing activities aligned with project timelines and businessobjectives.At CIBC India we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role.   • Lead the investigation and translation of business and technical requirements into comprehensive test cases.
  • Design and manage end-to-end testing activities for multiple projects, including development and maintenance of test plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
  • Develop andmaintainautomated test suites using tools such asTosca DI,Selenium, Cucumber,Parasoft, and similar platforms.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases, document results, and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Ensure all testing activitiescomply withorganizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports, test metrics, and risk assessments to project leadership.
Automation Expertise:
  • Create and execute automation strategies, frameworks, and tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Integrate automated testing scripts with DevOps tools and processes.
Leadership & People Management:
  • Setappropriate contextwhen assigning work to ensure that individuals roles support the achievement of the business units priorities and CIBCs overall goals.
  • Build team and individual capabilities byprovidingdevelopment opportunities such as job shadowing, special projects, and training.
  • Manage performance by providing fair andaccurateformal and informal feedback,identifyingand removing obstacles to performance, and explaining how performance expectations align with business priorities.
  • Create a positive work environment and act as an effective role model by championing CIBCs mission, vision, and values.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, standards, guidelines, and controls by applying them fairly and consistently so employees understand what to expect.
  • Hire the right people in the right jobs to align individual capabilities with job requirements and business unit goals.
  • Coach and mentor testing team members in business domain knowledge, functional testing, automation, and non-functional testing.
Project Coordination & Delivery:
  • Coordinate efforts of internal staff and external vendors to ensuretimelycompletion of test phases.
  • Monitor project milestones, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful delivery.
  • Identifyobstacles or risksimpactingproject timelines and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Collaboration:
  • Build trusted working relationships with business stakeholders and technology partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all testing-related communications among project stakeholders.
  • Negotiate deliverables andmilestonesas necessary.
Experience: 10+ years of experience.Who You Are (Skills / Qualifications):Must Have Skills:
  • Proven 3+ years of experience in management role/ overall coordinator role / resource manager, with proficient knowledge of Testing Life Cycle, SDLC, and Defect Management processes for application testing and support.
  • 5+ years of experience in automation or equivalent technical role, with hands-onexpertisein test automation tools (Selenium/Robot Framework,ParasoftSOAtest, Postman,Rest Assured, Cucumber, or similar).
Experience with ETL testing or Datawarehouse Testing. * Experience with test management tools (JIRA,OpenTextAQM).
  • Strong understanding of QE processes, SDLC, and regulatory requirements.
  • Preferred experience with Python and Java, and SQL database skills.
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to build and integrate automated testing scripts and strategies with DevOps tools.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communicationskills, with the ability to express technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence outcomes.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with emerging technologies and industry changes.
