Sr. Engineer - Maintenance

- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, and ancillary equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical/electrical breakdowns and execute timely corrective actions.
- Minimize machine downtime and production losses through proactive troubleshooting.
- Equipment & Utilities Management:
- Oversee the maintenance of compressors, chillers, cooling towers, dryers, and other plant utilities.
- Ensure smooth operation of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Liaise with OEMs/vendors for technical support, AMC, and spares.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and fitters.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor progress for continuous workflow.
- Conduct training sessions to upskill the maintenance team.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HSE and statutory regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Maintain documentation as per ISO/TPM/5S standards.
- Spare Parts & Inventory Management:
- Monitor and control inventory of critical spares and consumables.
- Raise purchase requisitions and follow up with procurement for timely availability.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring failures and suggest improvements.
- Participate in productivity enhancement projects such as OEE improvement, energy savings, and automation.
- Strong knowledge of plastic processing machinery (e.g., injection molding, extrusion).
- Hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, and PLC-based systems.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and team management abilities.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools is a plus.
