A Computer Operator in a store manages daily inventory, processes sales data, and maintains computer systems to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities include accurate data entry, tracking stock levels, generating sales reports, troubleshooting hardware/software, and coordinating with departments for smooth inventory flow.Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory & Data Management: Tracking receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods; updating stock levels in systems.
  • System Operation: Operating POS (Point of Sale) terminals, running batch processing jobs, and performing routine maintenance.
  • Data Entry & Reporting: Accurately entering data into computer systems and generating regular sales/stock reports.
  • Troubleshooting: Fixing common hardware and software glitches, and performing basic network troubleshooting.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining organized records of transactions, stock movements, and inventory adjustments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and data entry software (e.g., MS Excel, ERP systems).
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry and inventory tracking.
  • Communication: Ability to collaborate with staff and report issues to management.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with IT certification being an advantage.
