Our goal is to develop nurses who are equipped with the skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care to communities.Job Description:An Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Health Nursing is a faculty member who is responsible for teaching, research, and service in the field of community health nursing. Their primary duties include developing and delivering course content, conducting research and scholarship, and mentoring and advising students. They may also participate in departmental meetings and committees, engage in community outreach activities, and contribute to the development and maintenance of academic programs and initiatives. The Assistant Professor must stay current with advancements in the field of community health nursing through ongoing professional development and collaborate with other faculty members, health care providers, and community organizations. The ultimate goal of the Assistant Professor is to support student learning and promote the department's mission in community health nursing.Responsibilities:

Teaching courses in community health nursing and related areas.
Developing and implementing curriculum in community health nursing.
Conducting research and scholarship in the field of community health nursing.
Mentoring students and advising on academic and career goals.
Participating in departmental meetings and committees.
Engaging in community outreach activities and promoting the department's mission.
Staying current with advancements in the field of community health nursing through ongoing professional development.
Collaborating with other faculty members, health care providers, and community organizations.
Assessing student performance and providing feedback to support their growth and development.
Contributing to the development and maintenance of the department's academic programs and initiatives.

Qualifications:

A Masters degree in Nursing or related field is required.
A master's degree in nursing with a specialization in community health nursing is also required.
A current nursing license and at least 3 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate level is preferred.
Strong knowledge and skills in community health nursing, nursing education and curriculum development is required.
The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, students, and community partners is essential.
