- Proven experience within an accounting or finance role built over the past 4-5 years
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Advanced computer software skills, tools for reporting and analysis purposes

- Tertiary qualification in the areas of Accounting, Finance or Business or similar
- Minimum 2-3 years NetSuite Oracle accounting systems
- Completed postgraduate accreditation
- Exposure to modelling, forecasting and budgeting
- International exposure
- Tech-savvy and a keen interest in automation
- Responsible for performing accounting processes required to maintain the integrity and standards of Adventus’ accounting and finance function
- Completing month end accounting tasks to ensure the timely reporting of all financial information to align with internal controls
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
- Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations with required supporting documentation and follow up with outstanding items
- Complete all reconciliations including bank and general ledger.
- Collecting and analysing data, which is then used in the preparation of weekly and monthly estimates
- Utilize spreadsheets and database tools to assist financial record keeping
- Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts
- Assist with annual external audits to ensure compliance
- Respond to enquiries from both internal and external sources and ad-hoc duties as required
- Updating and maintaining procedural documentation
- Support with variance analysis of general ledger accounts
- Perform other duties as required to support the Financial Controller and VP of Finance
