DBRE Architect

• Build and Setup Observability platform for multiple database flavor to a single pane of glass monitoring
• Setup SLA and SLO's for the databases based on the Application criticality.
• Provide SLA breach reports and analyze the root cause for improvements.
• Work closely with stakeholders (onshore and offshore) to troubleshoot live application issues in the timely fashion (CMD, Outages etc..) to improve the reliability of the database
• Bring in Industry best practices and apply in the database management
• Work collaboratively with Development, Application Support and Quality Assurance teams
• Designing architecture for high availability Applications and security-first approach, sizing/scalability, and performance
• Managing the day-to-day production deployment activities through CICD platform by enabling DB deployment through Flyway or Liquibase
• Facilitate to upskill team through technical training sessions and enable talent transformation
• Continuously assess and understand the operational requirements to improve operational performance and business processes.
• Continuously assess and find automation solutions in the day to day activities
• Should be a strategic thought partner to Influence the senior leadership to adapt and drive efficiency improvements.

• Strong Knowledge of Unix software installation , configuration and maintenance
• Strong understanding of rest api calls and data exchange using GraphQL
• Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud platform , RDS build, monitoring and alert configuration
• Strong knowledge of New Relic Monitoring tools
• Hands on experience in React JS
• Strong knowledge in Java Spring boot
• Strong knowledge in developing functional logics in PostgreSQL and Oracle
• Hands on experience in platform building from scratch
• Exposure to multiple App/DB monitoring tools ( OEM , Percona, Grafana, Prometheus , Ops Manager, Druid Console Manager etc )
• Strong knowledge in Unix Shell Scripting
• Strong knowledge for Jenkins and Ansible
• Strong knowledge in Python Scripting
• Strong knowledge in AWS Database Admin tasks.
• Strong knowledge in Database DevOps principles
• Exposure to monitoring tools like NewRelic, Splunk, OEM etc and automation of monitoring
• Exposure on CI/ CD using GIT, Jenkins, Flyway, Liquibase
