For more information, .Info Technology description.What You Will DoThe Sr. Engineer - AWS is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and testing software solutions for the system. You will evaluate available options, monitor project plans and schedules, and identify/manage resources to support assigned projects. Additionally, you will provide technical expertise, consultation, and leadership to multidisciplinary teams and provide training and guidance to less experienced staff.:Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and reliable AWS infrastructure solutions for our clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline deployment and maintenance processes
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS technologies and best practices to continuously improve our services
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Lead the AWS public cloud enablement and drive maturity within the organization as a Sr. Engineer - AWS
  • Deliver the AWS cloud strategy and execution within the Technology Services Cloud Engineering organization
  • Partner with teams across critical Platforms, End Users, Networks, Security, and other technology partners to drive strategy and delivery for efficient use of hosting platforms
  • Drive maturity of the overall AWS service, and is responsible for reference architectures, solution designs, roadmaps, work allocations, and the direct management of the AWS engineering and software development team
  • Actively engage with AWS external specialists and forums to remain current on industry trends
  • Establish software development standards for the team
  • Work collaboratively with strategic external partners, global leaders and executives across the business and technology to passionately understand our technology needs, define and shape public cloud capabilities to align with technology needs and improve the overall reliability and performance of services offered
  • Grow and scale a diverse, credible, and agile team with the talent and technical expertise to identify, launch, and iterate the next generation of products in our portfolio
  • Own end-to-end cloud platform lifecycle activities including technical vision, strategy, prioritization, delivery and performance management
  • Automate security guardrails and compliance controls for the AWS cloud
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, measurements and best practices, and coach team members to drive continuous improvements
  • Drive innovation via a Community of Practice, allowing for cross-team collaboration and advancing common business goals
  • Drive self-service AWS hosting patterns for application developer, mature Infrastructure as Code automation, and developer productivity
  • Assist with the tracking, monitoring and analysis of performance metrics
  • Using Agile methodology, effectively manages backlog and sprint execution schedule to accelerate business outcomes using DevSecOps
  • Ensure that complex operational issues get the engineering support in order to speed resolution and minimize impacts to the business
  • Mentor and develop the technical team of software engineers and AWS architects to ensure that their current skill set keeps pace with the changes to the cloud computing landscape and the solutions available in the market
  • Evaluate available options and implement the best course of action as a Sr. Engineer - AWS
  • Monitor project plans and schedules to ensure deliverables on time and budget as a Sr. Engineer - AWS
  • Identify and manage internal and external resources to support assigned projects as a Sr. Engineer - AWS
  • Participate on and may lead project teams, and provide technical support as a Sr. Engineer - AWS
  • Monitor and analyze opportunities for the development of new or improved tools for process improvement activities as a Sr. Engineer - AWS
  • Provide technical expertise as a subject matter expert as a Sr. Engineer - AWS
  • Provide moderately complex technical consultation and leadership to multidisciplinary teams as a Sr. Engineer - AWS
  • Provide training and guidance to less experienced staff as a Sr. Engineer - AWS
What We Are Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 4-6 years of experience in AWS infrastructure design and implementation
  • Experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as a cloud).
  • Minimum 2 or 3 years of experience in Devops, Jenkins, CI/CD Pipeline
  • Minimum 2 year experience in Python or similar programming languages.
  • Experience with Level-3 support activities or production systems.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Minimum experience of 1-2 years with Kubernetes/ container development.
  • Understanding of GIT-based source code management, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.
  • Serverless Computing: AWS Lambda.
Desired Qualifications
  • 4-6 years related experience in AWS PaaS services
  • Strong understanding of agile development processes
  • Understanding of micro-services and REST APIs based application development
  • Experience in developing AWS, IAM Frameworks.
  • Ability to solve complex business problems and present recommendations to management effectively
  • Good planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to define, shape, and drive projects to completion while effectively collaborating strategically with others
  • Ability to lead and influence others
  • Ability to mentor, instruct, and review technical deliverables of junior staff and peer engineers
  • Strong verbal and writing skills
  • Results-driven, quick learner, and a self-starter
