Join us and be part of a vibrant company that embraces diverse perspectives, and is committed to doing well by doing good.Description:Be part of a team that is responsible for coordinating the operations of, disaster recovery testing, maintaining, and supporting all data communications and networking hardware and software for all locations at Finastra to include: Primarily Microsoft Azure and some on-premises data center work as well as occasional corporate office networking. You will need to be well versed in Cisco gear, Fortinet firewalls, BigIP F5 load balancers, as well as the management tools for those products, and Cisco Viptela SDWAN management platform.Key Responsibilities:Understand the various concepts of Azure cloud environments like vNets, UDRs, NSG, ALBs, and be able to configure and trouble shoot all levels of the same using Microsoft provided tools and interfaces.Install, configure, monitor and manage all network and data communications equipment including all hubs, routers/switches, intrusion detection systems, VPN concentrators, load balancers, SDWAN connections, and firewallsProvide ongoing monitoring of all networks and data communications facilities using approved network management tools and including monitoring access to Telecommunication carriers and managing the connection equipmentPerform regular capacity planning to ensure network performance will meet anticipated requirements, monitor capacity, and work with carriers to adjust capacity as neededResponsible for internet access including installing, configuring, maintaining routers and firewalls, configuring routing protocols, and monitoring performance of the sameTroubleshoot all network problems; open issues in the Problem and Change Management databases, record resolution; provide tier 2 support; ensure all issues are resolved as per published service levels or escalate as necessaryProvide maintenance to equipment as requiredMaintain all technical configuration documents and review/update processes and procedures and maintain appropriate documentationProvide weekly updates of work activity to the Manager, Network Operations and/or Director of Network OperationsParticipate on project teams working with all Infrastructure teams or Network Engineers/Architects; take high level plans developed by engineers/architects and develop a detailed plan broken down by task for implementationWork with internal and external customers to convert requirements into actionable change requests for implementationOn call 24 duties; on occasion will have to be at the office outside of normal working hours; occasional travel may be necessaryDevelop and keep current a personal professional education plan with the assistance of your supervisor/managerTechnical SkillsHands on experience of Cloud networking principals in Azure and AWSFunctional knowledge of networking and data communication fundamentals including Ethernet and routing protocols (TCP/IP, Routing Protocols, etc)Functional knowledge of SDWanFunctional knowledge of internetworking standardsFunctional knowledge of network management tools like Fortimanager, SolarWinds, etc.Knowledge of OSI protocol modelCompetenciesUniversity degree or college diploma in computer studies or equivalent experienceCisco certification a bonus3+ years hands on experienceFunctional planning abilityFunctional problem solving/troubleshooting abilitiesTechnical oral and written communication skillsFunctional customer relations skillsFunctional organizational skillsFunctional interpersonal relationsAbility to work well in a project team environmentPython/Java/scripting skillsets a plusAdaptability / flexibilityKnowledge of Microsoft Office productsResults orientedWe are proud to offer a range of incentives to our employees worldwide.
