The ideal candidate must possess a valid Mine Manager's Certificate (Unrestricted) and demonstrate expertise in cut & fill stopping methods. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and productive underground mining operations.Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and manage daily underground mining activities, ensuring safe execution of stopping, development, and support operations.- Plan, schedule, and monitor production targets using cut & fill stopping techniques for ore extraction.- Ensure compliance with mining regulations, safety protocols, and statutory reporting requirements.- Coordinate with geology, survey, ventilation, and support services to optimize ore recovery and mine stability.- Lead and mentor shift engineers, mining foremen, and operators to maintain high operational standards.- Implement and monitor cost-effective practices and productivity enhancement measures.- Ensure effective use of mining equipment and adherence to planned maintenance schedules.- Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports related to production, safety, and manpower.Skills & Competencies:- Strong technical knowledge of underground mining, especially in cut & fill stopping operations.- Sound understanding of mine planning, safety regulations, and statutory requirements under DGMS.- Leadership and team management capabilities in a high-risk environment.- Proficiency in using mine design software and productivity analysis tools.- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and crisis management skills.- Excellent communication and interdepartmental coordination.
