The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop strong computational thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of digital technologies. Living on campus, you will play an integral role in fostering not only academic excellence but also holistic growth by engaging with students beyond the classroom in pastoral and co-curricular activities.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging MYP Computer Science lessons in line with IB standards, focusing on inquiry-based and experiential learning.Teach programming, algorithms, data analysis, digital design, and ethical use of technology.Guide students in research projects, coding tasks, and interdisciplinary explorations.Develop unit plans, assessments, and lesson materials aligned with the MYP framework.Integrate real-world applications of technology into teaching, preparing students for DP and future pathways.Support and mentor students in coding clubs, robotics, digital design, and technology competitions.Participate actively in pastoral care, mentoring, and residential life duties, ensuring student well-being.Collaborate with colleagues across subjects to design interdisciplinary units of inquiry.Maintain strong communication with parents, guardians, and the school community.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Teaching qualification (B.Ed./PGCE or equivalent) is highly desirable.Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience, preferably in IB MYP or international curricula.Strong command of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, along with knowledge of emerging technologies.Experience in mentoring students for tech-based competitions, coding clubs, or design projects.Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaborative skills.Skills & AttributesPassion for innovative and inquiry-driven teaching.Ability to adapt to residential school life and actively contribute to the wider campus community.Strong interpersonal skills with empathy, patience, and adaptability.Commitment to continuous professional development and IB philosophy.
