Explore more on Cubic.com.Job Details:Job Summary: We are seeking a Principal Systems Test Engineer to lead system-level test planning, coordination, and execution across multiple high-impact projects. In this role, you will collaborate with engineering, software, and QA teams to design test strategies, develop automation frameworks, and ensure end-to-end validation of complex systems. You will play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance—while also mentoring and guiding test teams.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, is passionate about quality engineering, and enjoys driving innovation in test automation and system validation.Key Responsibilities:

Define and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases derived from system requirements.
Lead and coordinate system, integration, and end-to-end testing across multiple projects.
Develop and execute manual and automated tests for web, backend, and embedded systems.
Manage defect tracking, test environments, and tool adoption (JIRA, TestRail, etc.).
Drive test readiness reviews, reporting, and test metrics tracking for continuous improvement.
Collaborate closely with engineering, QA, customers, and vendors to ensure alignment on delivery and quality expectations.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to test process and tool improvements.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MCA, or related field.
8+ years of hands-on experience in software/system testing.
Strong expertise in Functional Testing, API Testing (Postman, SoapUI), SQL, and JavaScript.
Hands-on experience with Automation testing frameworks and scripting.
Strong experience in test management tools (TestRail, JIRA) and Defect Management.
Proven ability to manage test teams and drive results in complex software/system environments.
Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Data-driven mindset with experience in test metrics and reporting.

Preferred Qualification:

ISTQB Foundation Certification or equivalent.
Familiarity with transit/transportation systems (AFCS).
Exposure to AI/ML-based solutions.
