Head of the Department - MBA Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of Head of the Department (HOD) - MBA at our esteemed institution. The HOD will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the MBA program, including curriculum development, student recruitment and retention, faculty management, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business education, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving innovation and excellence in management education. Responsibilities: Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of courses and experiential learning opportunities. Continuously assess and update the curriculum to stay relevant and competitive. Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract high-caliber MBA candidates. Collaborate with admissions teams to establish enrollment targets and develop initiatives to achieve them. Implement initiatives to support student success, including academic advising and career development services. Recruit, retain, and mentor a diverse faculty team composed of industry experts, scholars, and practitioners. Provide leadership and support for faculty in curriculum delivery, research endeavors, and professional development activities. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence among faculty members. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the reputation and impact of the MBA program. Identify opportunities for program growth and expansion, including specialized tracks or partnerships. Collaborate with stakeholders to establish goals, metrics, and benchmarks for program success. Cultivate relationships with industry partners, alumni, and other stakeholders to enhance the program's reputation. Seek opportunities for collaboration and partnership with other academic institutions and organizations. Represent the MBA program at conferences, events, and other forums to promote its value and achievements. Qualifications: A master's degree in business administration or a related field; a doctoral degree is preferred. Significant experience in higher education administration, with a focus on graduate management education. Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of strategic planning, program development, and team management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and accreditation standards in business education. A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of program operations. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to innovate and adapt to changing market demands. Membership in relevant professional organizations and networks is desirable.
