Job descriptionOpportunity for Sr Associate - Quality Assurance An overview of your job role As Sr Associate, Quality Assurance, you will take lead in strategic planning, estimation, framework design and development, automation of test cases, test execution, test reporting and team & client management. As QA Manager, you will be responsible for managing testing of more than one client solutions, managing teams for end to end testing ownership of Web-based and/or Mobile supporting programs. You will be expected to leverage best practice standards and processes set out by AVIZVA and other industry organisations. A detailed look at your job responsibilities Scoping - Lead creation of QA scope matrix for medium to large size project (10-15 team members under multiple tracks in a given project) - Manage and control project’s QA scope and the change control process - Assist the pursuit team to complete RFP's, project’ QA scoping, sizing and pricing estimates Project Setup - Structure and Manage QA across integrated, multi-track projects or programs of multiple projects - Oversee project’s QA estimations and staffing - Ensure project quality and performance standards - Suggest team structures to ensure maximum performance - Ensure key project and program-wide QA roles and responsibilities are defined - Ensure a positive and collaborative work environment for the team - Directly supervises the work of Associate QA and Senior Associate QA - Mentor and coach project team members - Participate in designing manual and automation testing strategies - Design & Develop Test Automation Framework for application assigned Project Planning & Tracking - Develop detailed QA work plans (high/mid), project schedules, estimates, and people plans in conjunction with project team members and associated client teams - Monitor and Report on project traction and progress Page 1 of 3 - Testing and Tracking against QA plans - Coordinate QA development and hold discussion, and approval of corrective action
and contingency plans - Report progress/delays to project/programme lead with an outline of issues - Apply AVIZVA approach and methodology Project Execution - Develop and track project’s QA plans for multiple tracks of work (as part of a larger project plan) - Ensure ‘quality’ and sign-off of deliverables from QA perspective - Assure project’s QA completion according to defined schedule and budget - Provide clear direction and motivation to the team Risk and Issue Management - Identify risks and issues within the assigned tasks and/or on the assigned track of work and communicate it to the project leadership/client with possible impact and proposed resolution Dependency Management - Work with track leads/client for identifying and working on cross module/team dependencies - Work with multi-site project teams across time zones - Ensure project deliverables meet/exceed the project sponsor's specified expectations - Engage project stakeholders and communicate project updates to ensure buy in and project success (examples: meetings, status updates) - Remain aware of the current industry environment that shapes opportunities for client solutions (news events, trends, mergers, etc.) Communication - Communicate effectively with the other members of the project - Observe and suggest continuous improvements to the quality assurance practice - Create and present QA project status reports highlighting overall status of the project and critical issues for management - Drive organisation wide initiatives - Recommend continuous improvements and industry updates - Ensure use of best practices and apply learnings from previous projects Page 2 of 3 You are expected to be more than good at following skills: - Strong understanding of Automation QA - Knowledge in developing test automation for GUI and non-GUI applications, testing one or more server-side web technologies, testing of multiple client solutions at a time and testing Web-based, Mobile-based and Multi-modal applications, Performance and Security Testing, Testing out client-server
infrastructure, API’s (backend as well as UI), - Working knowledge with Javascript, XML, Shell scripting, Testing web applications using SOAP and XML mock data, MySQL, Selenium, SilkTest, WinRunner, working in UNIX/LINUX environments, Perl, Ruby, or Python - Knowledge of software development life cycles, web technologies, web development processes and the delivery of solutions - Professional & interpersonal communication Personal Attributes - Strong and innovative approach to problem solving and finding solutions - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal, formal and informal) - Flexible, proactive and self-motivated style of working - Ownership of every task assigned - Multi-task under pressure and work independently with minimal supervision - Prioritise when under pressure Must have’s - 7 to 9 years of relevant experience - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required in Computer Science or related field preferredJob requirements
