Management Trainee - Business Development InternAGP Fast-Track Leadership (AFL) Program Locations: Indore & Kanpur Organization: Agrawal Group of Publications (AGP) Employment Type: Full-time | Field RoleAbout the AFL ProgramThe AGP Fast-Track Leadership (AFL) Program is a high-potential grooming initiative designed to build future business leaders at AGP.This program is meant for ambitious and self-driven individuals who are eager to learn, adapt, and grow in the field of Business Development and Sales. Selected candidates will undergo structured role rotations to gain hands-on exposure to market dynamics, team management, and demand generation - with the long-term goal of leading a department.At AGP, Sales Managers are the backbone of the organization and enjoy strong recognition, attractive incentives, and accelerated career growth.Program Structure:Phase 1: Business Development Trainee (First 6 Months)- Visit schools and coaching institutes to interact with Principals and key decision-makers.- Pitch AGP offerings and onboard institutions for Teacher Workshops.- Learn structured relationship-building in the education ecosystem.- Understand school engagement and conversion processes. Phase 2: Business Development Executive (Next 6 Months)- Follow up with decision-makers and close target-driven activities.- Execute ATL (Above The Line) and BTL (Below The Line) marketing initiatives.- Drive institutional partnerships and improve market penetration.- Develop strong negotiation and territory management skills. Phase 3: Senior Business Development Executive (After 12 Months)- Manage and mentor a team of trainees/executives.- Plan and execute regional demand-generation campaigns.- Strengthen coordination between schools, retailers, and distributors.- Analyze market trends and drive city-level growth strategies.Key Responsibilities:- Develop in-depth understanding of AGP's product catalog.- Build and maintain strong B2B relationships with educational institutions.- Conduct regular offline visits to schools and coaching institutes.- Maintain accurate daily updates in the CRM system.- Collect market feedback and identify trends to refine strategy.- Travel across cities for quality checks and on-ground team training.- Support onboarding and performance monitoring of field executives.Skills & Competencies Required:- Strong desire to build a career in Marketing & Business Development.- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.- High energy, confidence, and target-driven mindset.- Willingness to travel extensively (100% field role).- Adaptability to dynamic market environments.- Basic knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools is preferred.Eligibility Criteria:- Graduate/Postgraduate (MBA preferred but not mandatory).- Freshers with strong sales orientation or up to 1 year of experience in Sales/BD can apply.- Must be comfortable with extensive field travel.
