- Own and maintain assigned semiconductor manufacturing tools (Lithography, Etch, Diffusion, CVD, PVD, CMP, Implant, or Metrology).
- Ensure high equipment availability, reliability, and throughput to meet production schedules.
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) to resolve equipment and process-related issues.
- Reduce tool downtime by implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Support tool installation, hook-up, and commissioning activities in coordination with vendors and facilities teams.
- Execute equipment qualification activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) and handover to production.
- Assist in technology transfer, new product introduction (NPI), and ramp-up activities.
- Provide day-to-day and on-call equipment support for 24x7 fab operations.
- Work closely with Process Engineering and Manufacturing teams to maintain process stability and yield.
- Monitor equipment health using SPC/FDC charts and drive corrective actions when deviations occur.
- Develop, execute, and continuously improve preventive maintenance (PM) procedures.
- Maintain accurate equipment documentation, SOPs, PM checklists, and spare parts records.
- Ensure compliance with cleanroom protocols and operational standards.
- Adhere to EHS guidelines related to hazardous chemicals, gases, electrical systems, and vacuum equipment.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality systems, ISO standards, and SEMI guidelines.
- Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Drive cost reduction, productivity, and cycle-time improvement initiatives.
- Support automation, tool data analysis, and equipment performance optimization projects.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams and equipment suppliers for best-practice implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics
- Diploma holders with relevant fab equipment experience may also be considered
- 2–10 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment engineering, or related high-tech manufacturing
- Hands-on experience working in a cleanroom environment
- Exposure to 24x7 shift operations is an advantage
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with vacuum systems, gas delivery systems, RF power, robotics, and PLC-based controls
- Familiarity with SPC, FDC, TPM, and basic data analysis tools
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts, weekends, and on-call schedules
- Ability to comply with cleanroom gowning and physical job requirements
- Vendor coordination and field service experience is a plus
