We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer with strong Unix expertise to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of experience in database development, query optimization, and Unix/Linux environment management. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining database solutions, as well as scripting and automating tasks in a Unix environment to support business operations.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and scripts.
  • Design and implement database schemas, tables, and indexes to ensure data integrity and performance.
  • Collaborate with application developers and business analysts to understand data requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues.
  • Write and automate shell scripts in Unix/Linux environments to support data operations and workflows.
  • Monitor and manage database security, backups, and recovery procedures.
  • Perform data migration, integration, and ETL processes as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in database development and Unix scripting.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • 6-8 years of experience as an SQL Developer and Unix/Linux scripting.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, or T-SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
  • Solid understanding of Unix/Linux commands, shell scripting (bash, ksh, etc.).
  • Experience with database performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools and data warehousing concepts is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
