- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for SEPA Instant Payments solutions, with a focus on EBA RT1 certification requirements.
- Perform functional testing of SEPA IP functionalities, ensuring adherence to business requirements and regulatory standards.
- Execute and manage testing across all prescribed EBA test phases:
- Connectivity Testing: Verify seamless and secure connections between payment systems.
- Free Testing: Conduct exploratory testing to identify unexpected behaviors and edge cases.
- Scripted Testing: Develop and execute detailed test scripts to validate specific functionalities and scenarios.
- Controlled Go-Live Testing: Participate in pre-production testing to ensure readiness for live deployment.
- Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with development teams for timely resolution.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and developers to understand requirements and provide effective test coverage.
- Contribute to the improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SEPA regulations, EBA guidelines, and industry best practices.
- 3-5 years of dedicated QA experience in the banking sector, specifically with European banks.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with SEPA Instant Payments (IP) testing.
- Demonstrable experience in SEPA IP EBA RT1 certification testing.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with the following EBA test phases:
- Connectivity Testing
- Free Testing
- Scripted Testing
- Controlled Go-Live Testing
- Solid understanding of SEPA IP functional testing principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with payment messaging formats (e.g., ISO 20022 XML).
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Knowledge of other SEPA schemes (e.g., SEPA Credit Transfer, SEPA Direct Debit).
- Understanding of financial regulations beyond SEPA.
- Effectively communicate test progress, risks, and issues to project stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular status updates.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years of experience SEPA Testing.
- Proven experience QA.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices (e.g., functional, regression, integration, performance, UAT).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
