- Define, implement, and audit unified communications standards and guidelines.
- Develop and document system architecture and voice infrastructure
- Serve as a versatile team member, taking on roles such as project manager, project engineer, systems engineer, and/or systems administrator within the System Engineering function
- Establish, enforce, improve, and standardize system-level architectural design and IT practices throughout the entire system release cycle
- Define strategies, schedules, upgrades, tools, documentation, and plans for software and hardware systems in production environments
- Maintain consistency across production environments in training, documentation, and architecture
- Provide integration processes, architecture, and planning support for mergers and acquisitions
- Design in-house and third-party solutions, ensuring highly available architecture and disaster recovery strategies for operational systems
- Offer technical solutions for complex business and enterprise integration problems.
- Conduct trending analysis and metrics definition to enhance operations
- Evaluate systems, performance, and issues, providing recommendations for improvement
- Ensure consistency in design methodology across operational projects
- Produce specifications and support documentation for the System Engineering and Server Operations group
- Provide 24x7 On-Call Support to company data centers on a rotational basis
- Must have a bachelor's degree with at least seven years of systems engineering experience and in-depth knowledge of systems engineering and system administration best practices
- A proven track record of designing and implementing unified communication projects, showcasing proficiency in advanced voice and collaboration features such as call centers, voice products, and services
- Extensive knowledge with online meeting products and Unified Communication platforms
- Must have performed conference room setups and conversions
- Must have knowledge of Windows and Linux Server operating systems
- Articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering a shared understanding and collaboration
- Demonstrate the ability to analyze situations, identify challenges, and propose creative solutions, showcasing adaptability and resilience in dynamic work environments
- Work seamlessly within cross-functional teams, building positive relationships and contributing to a collaborative atmosphere that encourages knowledge sharing and collective success
- Experience in designing and building cloud Unified Communications solutions
- Advanced expertise in networking and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with integration of collaboration tools, such as messaging platforms and video conferencing systems
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization of Unified Communications applications and infrastructure
