Company is having annual turnover of around 200 Cr. & employee strength of 200 employees & they are providing international safety standard certified bay products by their e-commerce website & online market platforms like Amazon, Flipkart & other leading online & offline platforms.Job Title - Technical Designer - Kidswear (CAD & 3D Specialist)Department- Product DevelopmentWorking days and timings - 9.30 AM to 6.30 PM (2nd & 4th Saturday off)Location - AhmedabadExperience: - 5-7 yearsCTC: 6-10 LPAQualification - Post GraduationRole OverviewWe are seeking a highly detail-oriented Technical Designer - Kids wear with strong expertise in both 2D CAD pattern development and 3D garment simulation. This role requires complete technical ownership—from digital pattern creation and grading to fit correction, vendor coordination, and presentation-ready 3D garment rendering.
The ideal candidate will ensure accurate fit, construction quality, and production readiness for kids wear products while supporting seamless communication between design, development, and factory teams.Key Responsibilities1. Pattern Development & Digital ModificationDevelop and modify garment patterns using CAD software.Digitally alter patterns based on fit feedback and measurement reports.Execute grading as per size specifications and maintain grading rules.Perform marker making and optimize fabric utilization.Handle plotting and pattern outputs via CAD systems.2. 3D Garment Simulation & RenderingCreate precise 3D garment simulations for:Vendor communicationFit validationPre-production reviewsPrepare realistic garment renders for internal presentations.Simulate fabric behavior, drape, and construction detailing using 3D software.3. Technical Documentation & Tech PacksDevelop comprehensive tech packs including:Flat sketchesConstruction detailsMeasurement chartsGrading specificationsStitch types and finishing instructionsEnsure production feasibility and technical clarity.Review and validate measurement reports and fit comments.4. Sample Review & Factory CoordinationReview development samples and pre-production samples (PPS).Analyze fit comments and recommend corrective actions.Provide technical clarifications to factories and vendors.Support resolution of fit and construction challenges.Required Skills & QualificationsStrong foundation in pattern making and garment construction.In-depth understanding of kids wear fit, comfort, and functional requirements.Proficiency in:Adobe IllustratorAdobe PhotoshopCLO 3D (or similar 3D garment simulation software)Gerber AccuMark / Lectra / Tukatech or similar CAD platformsExperience in grading, marker making, and fabric consumption optimization.Ability to accurately interpret measurement charts and construction details.Strong documentation and communication skills for vendor coordination.Experience Required3-7 years in technical design (kidswear or softlines preferred).Mandatory hands-on experience in both CAD pattern development and 3D garment simulation.Key CompetenciesHigh technical precisionAnalytical problem-solving abilityFit-focused mindsetStrong cross-functional collaborationAbility to work in a structured, process-driven environmentBenefits for their employees: -
