- Candidate is responsible for supporting the objectives of the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Policy and Information Security Management Policy by adhering to applicable Procedures and Work Practices while fulfilling of duties.
- Carrying out respective piping activities and preparation of deliverables as identified in the Functional Competencies as necessary on their appointed project.
- Signing drawings and documents including reports, calculations and datasheets as necessary as originator/checker in accordance with correct procedures.
- Ensuring engineering and design quality, technical accuracy of drawings, material quantities etc.
- Execution of assigned work in accordance with applicable contract procedures and client and projects standards.
- Adhering to WOOD engineering procedures for design safety and adopting safe attitudes towards engineering design and raising features affecting the safety and integrity of the project with appropriate authorities.
- Correct interpretation and implementation of all piping related functions in their appointed area.
- Knowledge & understanding of Layout development for offshore Fixed platforms (Greenfield / Brownfield).
- Knowledge & understanding of Layout development for process/utility packages for FPSO/FSU & Wellhead platforms (Greenfield / Brownfield) Review piping studies for defining elevation & configuration for Piperack, process, weather & cellar deck & interface definition / Hook ups.
- Knowledge & understanding of layout development for flare systems / Turret piping (Greenfield / Brownfield).
- Layout development for compressor packages & power gen modules.
- Knowledge of statutory norms (NORSOK, OSHA) & International codes & standards (ASME, API, NFPA, NACE).
- Originate / Review MRs for piping Bulks (Pipes, Fittings & flanges), Valves & piping specialities & TBE.
- Develop data sheets for piping specialities (Springs, strainers, steam traps, hoses & cold Mechanical joints) & TBE of vendor quotes.
- Originate / review Special Support sketches / Drawings. Understanding of Pipe supports & structures, & ability to read & extract piping loading information from Stress supports & input to structural.
- Knowledge & understanding of Material Handling studies, Transport & lifting requirements for piping spools, access & escape route requirements, operation, maintenance, construction & installation considerations
- Liaise effectively with other disciplines, engineers and clients' representatives
- Provide effective written communication in site surveys and technical reports
- Manage all aspects of the discipline scope for the project including technical integrity, safety in design, and sustainable design where applicable
- Raising Change Requests when information and scope deviations arise
- Safety - Responsible for personal safety and working within the Occupational Health & Safety procedures.
