  • Incubate new product assets/ tools/ concepts to improve non linear revenue.
  • • Create publish/ review white papers / technical papers.
  • • Present the papers in national/ international publications & conferences.
  • • Foster a innovative culture within the team( eg Encourage teams to identify solutions from other industries / verticals / partners and apply to problem context).
  • • Identify newer opportunities for contribution / newer ways of leveraging technology for solving customer problems.
  • • Understand the clients requirements pain points and arrive at a customized solution by rightly positioning Cognizant assets.
  • • Collaborate with technology groups and other alliances to bring best practices on various technologies and tools.
  • • Identify patentable components in the solution and follow up on IP filing with the necessary teams.
  • • As part of innovation / solution development arrive at the asset development plan and business case.
  • • Provide the technical leadership support and governance to build the assets.
  • • Propagate the appropriate consumers – both internal and external.
  • • Monitor the effectiveness of assets developed.
Technology Advisory & Consulting (for clients):
  • '• Understand the customer problem / engagement objectives.
  • • Develop custom solution by leveraging assets / services from the global market place.
  • • Provide recommendations to the client on tools technologies for deployment on the basis of features cost performance etc.
  • • Build relationships and credibility with customers.
  • • Identify the appropriate quality model/ standard/ measure to be adopted in the project in conjunction with the customer requirements.
  • • Influence the customer to adopt the appropriate point of view on the solution aspects ( eg quality standard solution option technology option etc).
Project Estimation:
  • Establsh estimation Process & Methodology ensure consistant outcome.
  • Review estimates for projects related to new technologies related to area under purview.
  • Build and Provide guidance to team around estimation methodology/model when required.
Solution Design & Development:
  • • Identify objectives and define the planning process.
  • • Develop solution blueprint – involving partner capabilities in house capabilities and new build.
  • • Create in house capabilities to support delivery in these new offerings.
  • • Develop business case joint GTM plan with the partner and collaterals.
  • • Create artifacts from perspective of technology product domain and infrastructure as applicable.
  • • Own and ensure the release of the assets/platforms for internal and external customer including regular support.
  • For Products.
  • Review and sign off on product design document.
  • Prioritize and supervise and track development / QA activities such as architecture design prototyping code implementation trouble shooting and functional testing of product features.
  • Institutionalize the development process and track metrics / benchmarks to ensure the quality release of the product.
Technology Review for Projects:
  • • Provide technical SME support in reviewing large transformational / complex technical solutions / data models in terms of compliance to requirements efficiency of solution or implementation.
  • • Act as the final escalation support for the respective technology areas.
  • • Develop (for large deals) / Review technical solution proposed.
  • • Develop (for large deals) / Review estimates for proposed solution.
  • • Validate/Propose leverage of accelerators.
Capability Development:
  • ' Define and establish roarmap for capability devleopment and technology incubation.
  • Build strong technical competency in focussed technolgy areas based on the industray trends and technology needs identified.
  • Design and drive programs to build techno functional skills based on emerging technologies for grooming developing and certifying associates.
  • Device tehnology trainings / workshops to Build right technical competencies fo rthe teams.
  • Conduct technology workshops with developers across projects (eg design compliant coding) to enable a higher technology quotient.
  • Facilitate Knowledge sharing & technolog evangelization for the teams.
  • Build technology Knowledge base & tools for collaboration & sharing.
Design & Analysis:
  • review and sign off technical design and and architecture.
  • Develop & establish design Bluprint for various technology solutions.
  • review tecnical design & provide governance over the design & Architecture.
  • Establish standards for technical design and requirement analysis.
  • guide and help the team on right technical design and architecture is implemented through out ensiring reusability Modularity and productivity.
  • Establish and ensure the right design principles are followed and help the team understand & deliver the work as per the design.
Coding:
  • Provide Governance and guidance & Define & identify standards applicable for the work packages / components.
  • Familiarize the team with development environment and CTS and customer specific coding standards guidelines and best practices to be followed through sessions and document sharing.
  • Review the code created by team and provide review comments to the developers.
  • develop code for core / critical module(s) needed for the project.
  • Contribute towards development of framework.
  • Develop/ review tier coding business layer coding interface development service development creation of stored procedures etc as applicable for the work package / project.
  • Write efficient queries and understand logical and physical data models.
  • follow up with Developers to ensure integration of components (input / output).
  • troubleshoot critical technical issues.
  • Handle escalations related to critical technical issues.
  • create detailed tasks for the scope and share timelines for the same with the team.
  • track the status of the tasks assigned maintain detailed task information for the work packages owned and do periodic reporting.
  • conduct technical review and audit.
  • Create quality check points for all deliverables.
  • estimate at task level in the area of work concerned measure and report the actual effort against the estimated effort and ensure task progress reporting in C20 or any other applicable tool.
  • Prepare and report status for the scope responsible.
  • conduct peer reviews in coding and testing phase.
Build and Release Management:
  • Oversee the Release management & Build • Drive and monitor communication with cross functional teams (SCM Release Management teams) to ensure appropriate support in terms of release planning and infrastructure planning.
  • Ability to set up CI/CD pipelines.
  • For Products.
  • Facilitate cross functional communication between the Build Management team and Engineering team to ensure quick resolution of build issues and deployment of appropriate product packages on various environments.
  • Guide the Build Management team and Engineering team to ensure execution of build and release plans configuration and continuous integration activities and quick resolution of build issues and deployment of appropriate product packages on various environments.
Post Production Maintenance:
  • '• Drive Incident Management Planning.
  • • Perform change request impact analysis and drive corrective and preventive action.
'Alliance Management:
  • • Collaborate with alliances to bring best practices on various technologies and tools.
Knowledge Management:
  • '• Identify technical skill gaps / capability gaps in comparison with the applicable business plan for the team.
  • • Arrive at roadmap to close the skills/ capability gap in collaboration with internal and external partners as appropriate.
  • • Support talent acquisition activities.
  • • Develop / Review collaterals from current/past engagemen.
