Leapswitch Networks is looking for a backend developer with strong PHP fundamentals to join our growing in-house development team. You will contribute to building and maintaining robust web applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented backend code in PHP
- Work with MVC frameworks (Laravel/CakePHP preferred)
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs
- Collaborate with front-end developers and testers for smooth integration Backend Developer (PHP – Laravel/CakePHP)
- Optimize performance and scalability of applications
- Manage code versioning using Git
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging
- Strong grasp of core PHP concepts and OOP principles
- Familiarity with Laravel or CakePHP (either one is sufficient)
- Understanding of relational databases (MySQL)
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code following DRY principles and coding best practices
- Basic knowledge of frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, sufficient for integrating backend with UI (design expertise not required)
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of CLI, cron jobs, and API authentication methods
- Familiarity with Docker, Postman, Composer
