SDET, plays a critical role in developing and implementing code for automated software and product testing, developing test strategies, writing BDD scripts and developing framework. ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and optimize Automation. Candidate should have knowledge on Investment Banking/Capital Markets/Finance domains. Added advantage to have knowledge on Blackrock Aladdin application.Attributes for success

Understanding the entire modules and their functionality by verifying the Functional Specification and Style guide issued by the client.
Develop regression automation scripts for Web and Swing Applications on Java/Selenium/Cypress Automation frameworks.
Write Efficient, Maintainable and Optimized Automation code for UI and Backend Services.
Perform failure analysis of daily dry runs and maintain consistent automation stability to 95%+.
Write BDD feature file using Cucumber framework.
Perform peer code review (following internal best practices/guidelines)
Deploy the code to ADO pipelines, ensure application and JUnit tests passing.
Analyse Cucumber Reports for failure results and report product defects to Development teams to fix.
Enhance error handling to maintain Error Buckets for Automation Execution.
Work closely with quality assurance teams to identify areas for improvement in test processes and methodologies.
Follow Agile model to track and manage sprints tasks using ADO which include Sprint Planning, Execution and Retro.
Troubleshoot Application, Environment or Data Issues

Technical Skillsets:

Must have good knowledge of Java/JavaScript and TypeScript
Good to have working experience with Java Collections, Exception Handling and Java Sprint Frameworks
Good to have knowledge of automation testing frameworks like Selenium or Cypress
Good to have experience of API testing frameworks.
Have good knowledge of relational database, Sybase preferred.
Experience of using GIT (push, pull, fetch, clone etc.) as source control
Hands on experience on using tools like eclipse / IntelliJ / Git.
Must have Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Exposure to AZURE dev ops, CI/CD integration
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical skills.

To qualify for the role, you must have

BE/BTech/MCA/M.Sc.
Minimum 3 years' experience working on Java Development/Automation frameworks.
Hands-on experience in creating and maintaining frameworks.
Working experience in Agile environment

Ideally, you'll also have

Should have excellent communication skills & should be able to articulate concisely & clearly.
Should be ready to do an individual contributor as well as Team Leader role is what we look for.
Created QA Strategy and test approach from scratch, Articulates value, ROI to clients. Experience in conducting proof-of-concepts and Tool selection should have played the role of an individual contributor, interfacing with the clients and address their business needs.
