Job Description Summary As Services Engineer (Design), he/she will be involved in turnkey project deliveries for GE Digital in India and global regions. He/she will be working under Director (Services) and will be part of Design and Engineering for Turnkey projects. The position is based in Noida, India. Candidate must have knowledge in Telemetry Domain including RTU, BCU, DCS, PMU, Metering and Telemetry Adaptation Technologies. Experience on SCADA / EMS / DMS Technologies will be desirable. Candidate must possess minimum experience of 5 - 6years in above mentioned areas. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Possess good knowledge of RTU, PMU & Metering Technologies. Must have working knowledge of Design Engineering in above mentioned domain. Energy network management protocols (IEC101, 104, MODBUS, IEC 61850, ICCP, DLMS etc ). He/she will be responsible for design Architectures, GA Schematic and Adaptation Drawings that optimizes technical constraints and financial cost. Possess good working knowledge in Designing of Adaptation (Retrofit) works as per the customer requirement & specification in Control & Relay Panel. The candidate must be able to study Control & Relay Panel wiring drawings from 6.6KV to 400KV Voltage Labels. Preparation of Adaptation Drawings, Datalist & Wiring files Verification of Control and Protection wiring drawings compatible with SCADA requirement. Site Survey along with Customer & Consultant for Substations & MVI Equipment. Able to manage design delivery with project team. Required Qualifications Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering from an accredited university or college Strong experience in Telemetry and SCADA Design Should have good knowledge of RTU (Remote Terminal Unit), SCADA, Metering and PMU (Phasor Measurement Unit) Technologies. Possess Strong background in architecture related to above mentioned technologies in the field of energy network management systems Industry knowledge in the field of operation and multi sites project organizations Capacity to produce Design documentations. Must be process and methodology oriented to ensure quality project deliveries. Good working knowledge of Design Tools including Visio, AutoCAD is required. Should have good knowledge of EHS and must be able to work individually at site. Must be able to provide work progress information to PMs and other project stake holders to ensure timely delivery of projects. Possess some understanding of project Budget and must be able to forecast in advance if there is a budget deviation Candidate must be innovative thinker and should be adaptive to new technologies in their work domain. Desired Characteristics Around of 6-8 years of experience Design Engineer for a utility or engineering firm Should have experience of working in EHV, HV and MV Substation Prior experience with field installation and commissioning will be highly desirable. Prior experience with RTU & SCADA system design. Knowledge of Networking and Telecom domain will be desirable. Fluent in English language including oral, reading and writing skills.
