Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our database services with a strong focus on Vector Databases and Generative AI (GenAI) applications. This role combines deep expertise in database technologies with modern SRE practices, driving automation, resilience, and operational excellence across hybrid cloud environments.Key Responsibilities:Take ownership of database reliability, availability, scalability, and automation for mission-critical AI workloads.Work with GenAI Foundation Models and Vector Databases to enable advanced AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) capabilities.Evaluate and recommend database technologies suitable for AI/ML-driven applications.Install, configure, and maintain vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Memgraph, Milvus, etc. on hybrid infrastructure platforms.Design and optimize embedding storage architectures for high-dimensional vector search at scale.Monitor and enhance the performance, scalability, and resilience of vector database deployments.Manage data ingestion, indexing strategies (HNSW, IVF, Annoy, etc.), and re-indexing processes.Ensure data consistency, replication, backup, and disaster recovery best practices are implemented.Implement robust security controls including access management, encryption, and audit logging.Collaborate with AI/ML and data engineering teams to integrate vector databases into NLP, computer vision, and recommendation pipelines.Support the design and deployment of RAG applications leveraging large and diverse datasets.Create and maintain documentation for configurations, architectures, and operational runbooks.Drive Agile DevOps practices, emphasizing automation and continuous improvement in database operations.Qualifications & Skills:Strong background in database administration, site reliability engineering, or cloud infrastructure.Hands-on experience with vector databases and their indexing/storage mechanisms.Knowledge of GenAI foundation models, embeddings, and AI-driven applications.Proficiency with hybrid cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, etc.).Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and automation tools for large-scale systems.Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work in cross-functional AI/ML engineering teams.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities with a passion for operational excellence.Skills:Vector DB,GenAI,SREAbout Company:UST is a global digital transformation solutions provider.
