- Create digital product concepts and rapid prototypes that set the standard for quality and excellence.
- Meet project deliverables, willingness to participate in occasional meetings early or late in the day to accommodate global teams.
- Participate in design reviews, identify friction areas within designs and make decision that support future flexibility.
- Present best practices for UX design and user research to cross-functional teams.
- Actively contribute to interaction design patterns and visual design standards.
- Apply user-centered design principles to influence project strategy and direction.
- Work within the Agile development process.
- Partner with product managers to conduct, plan and recruit participants for user research, usability testing, and drive requirements.
- Partner with project managers to develop project schedules and tasks while advocating for appropriate user research activities.
- Occasionally travel to manufacturing facilities and customer sites.
- Keep current on design trends and industry standard methodologies.
- Always advocating for the User, Design and Research.
- Use storytelling and prototyping tactics to amplify customer stories and evoke strong emotional responses, driving accountability and action.
- Participate in ideation events across Fluke to help cultivate a culture of innovation and grow our idea funnel.
- Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Centered Design, Usability Engineering, or related field.
- 3-10 years of practical experience in interaction design of web and/or desktop applications.
- Highly developed design skills, demonstrated in portfolio of recent work.
- Proficiency with industry standard design and prototyping tools and methods.
- Solid understanding and experience of the design process and program management.
- Ability to clearly communicate and present new design concepts with strong verbal, written, and visual skills in both a technical and non-technical manner.
- Can work autonomously and collaboratively, based on the needs of the team.
