We are seeking a skilled and experienced Power BI Data Modeler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, business intelligence, and analytics. The Power BI Data Modeler will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient and scalable data models within Power BI to support the organization's reporting and analytics needs. This role requires a deep understanding of data structures, relationships, and business processes. Skills: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer/data science technical or related experience. 5+ years of hands-on relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience (using RDBMS, dimensional, NoSQL data platform technologies, and ETL and data ingestion protocols) Experience with data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise big data platforms in multi-data-center contexts required. Strong programming skills in languages such as Scala, Python, or SQL. Experience with Apache Spark, Spark SQL, and Spark MLlib. Proven experience in developing data processing solutions using PySpark and Spark SQL. Experience with Apache Spark, Spark SQL, and PySpark APIs. Familiarity with big data storage systems (e.g., Delta Lake, Apache Hadoop). Good knowledge of metadata management, data modeling, and related tools (Erwin or ER Studio or others) required. Proven experience as a SQL Developer with expertise in Microsoft Power BI. Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation. Strong knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS). Solid understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling. Experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Gateway. SQL querying skills for data validation and extraction Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) for Power BI integration. Responsibilities: Work with business and application/solution teams to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual/logical/physical data models. Define and govern data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for enterprise data models. Design and implement efficient and scalable data models within the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform Leverage Databricks features such as Delta Lake for managing large-scale data lakes. Identify and address performance bottlenecks within Databricks data models. Collaborate with data engineers and modelers to integrate data sources into Power BI. Integrate data from diverse sources into Power BI, utilizing SQL for data retrieval. Apply best practices in data visualization to present complex data in a clear and concise manner. Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business requirements. Utilize Power BI features to enhance interactivity and user engagement. Optimize Power BI reports for performance and responsiveness. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in queries and visualizations. Apply advanced DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to create complex calculations and metrics
