You'll work alongside a highly motivated and collaborative team.You'll play a critical role in delivering software modules by ensuring the detailed design, implementation, and testing of these modules. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with software architects, designers, and verification & validation (V&V) teams to meet quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) commitments. You'll also contribute to the integration of software modules, manage configuration processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.You'll specifically take care of designing and coding software modules, preparing and performing integration tests, and supporting hardware-software integration, but also contribute to standardization efforts by implementing reusable solutions.We'll look to you for:Contributing to the elaboration of software specifications and architecture, in collaboration with the software architectPerforming integration of software modulesSetting up the software development toolchainPreparing and performing software module tests and verifications prior to formal V&V testingManaging software work products under configuration managementSupporting software and hardware integration effortsParticipating in technology evolution through continuous learning and techno watchMaintaining strong collaboration with software architects, hardware designers, RAMS, and V&V teams throughout the software design cycleApplying Alstom's processes and standards while contributing to continuous improvementAll about youWe value passion and attitude over experience. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Engineering - IT, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, or equivalent8+ years of experience in designing software modules for complex embedded systemsExperience in developing Embedded/RTOS applications with a strong understanding of software processes and coding guidelinesSignificant experience in design, analysis, development, testing, and deliveryExposure to Cybersecurity feature development and conceptsKnowledge of programming languages such as Embedded C and PythonFamiliarity with RT Linux operating systems and protocols like TCP/IPExperience with industry standards such as CENELEC SIL4, DO178A, or DO178BFlair for learning technologies specific to the railway domainStrong communication skills with the ability to guide, influence, and collaborate in a matrix organizationExperience working with European customers (preferred but not mandatory)Things you'll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey - the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career.
