Job Purpose To define the quality base line of the products and how they should function conducts quality analysis to verify the functionality of the products for end-users and to ensure they are developed to meet requirements planned in the stories Plans and executes tests on the products and other IT solutions to make sure they work as required Key Result Responsibilities Employs technical and analytical skills to conduct quality testing and checks on the products design in line with agreed objectives Verify the products from quality perspective to ensure they are all designed, developed, and delivered in accordance with the agreed concepts/design and requirements recommended in the stories Collaborate closely with the products team and other cross functional teams to carry out the functional analysis for all the products designed to ensure they are useful and useable by end-users ensure that user expectations are met during the testing process Understand system requirements, user stories and develop and execute a variety of testing scenarios to ensure the credibility of testing and analysis conducted and recommends solutions as applicable Create, update and maintain Test Cases Test Plans estimations schedules and documentation Concludes the testing results track defects and releases them using the JIRA tool to be accessible by team members as needed and maintain testing reports Strive to identify area of improvement and work proactively to prevent issues from occurring Supports the development team in the sprint planning by providing them with results of the testing scenarios to consider in their final artwork or in alternative solutions Adopts the Agile and SCRUM concepts within work and ensures all the activities carried are done based on those concepts to ensure flexibility and adaptability to business needs Actively participate in scrum activities & stand-ups planning exercises and in understanding project plans and providing regular updates against milestones Stays abreast with market trends and new technologies in the domain researches and conducts comparative analysis with competitors to recommend best practices and new methodologies Work with QA leads in Developing and managing quality standards methods and procedures to determine release readiness Develop efficient testing metrics and strategies and ensure the set standards are upheld. Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved Performs any other additional duties as directed by the line manager Key Result Responsibilities-Continued Qualifications (Academic, training, languages) Bachelors degree in Technical Engineering/Computer Science/Math or equivalent Certified SCRUM Master or Professional Certified Product Owner is a plus Quality Assurance certificates are advantage Solid technical background with understanding in software development Comfortable using collaboration tools such as Slack JIRA Fluent in English Language Work Experience 4+ Years experience as Senior QA or in a similar role in B2B/B2C enterprise environment that designs/develops Airlines products or IT Airline services such as Ground Handling/PSS/ Crew Management or in an IT Solutions company offering airline products Has worked with technology platforms that are both internally and externally hosted. Good Understanding of user interface UI/UX design Good knowledge of database and hands-on experience in working with SQL queries Familiarity with various defect management systems Strong Cross-functional testing Hands-on experience with testing of various services, user interfaces, Desktop Web/Mobile view, and Mobile apps iPhone / Android, API, and in Regression, Load and Performance Testing Experience in test automation and creating repeatable, maintainable, automated test suites, and in developing automation frameworks from scratch built for UI and API testing and integration, with knowledge on one or more of the automation tools like Selenium, Selenium Web Driver, Cucumber, Gherkin, JUnit, TestNG Experience with creating and maintaining large scale test data frameworks to support test automation Hands on Experience in Agile SCRUM, KANBAN framework and other SDLC models and strong knowledge of software quality assurance best practices & methodologies Strong analytical and synthesis skills are a must including the ability to absorb and process large amounts of data into actionable information Exceptional skills and expertise in analysing data, identifying pitfalls, gaps and recommending solutions. Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making Good people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties, able to employ technical expertise and interpersonal skills to execute new initiatives and achieve companys objectives Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrable experience communicating and collaborating cross-functionally with all project roles, across multiple project teams. Ability to independently work as a contributing member in a high-paced and focused environment and juggle multiple projects at a time with the ability to work under pressure. Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against business strategy and set KPIs. Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with competing deadlines, with good understanding on how to optimize the use of test cases to provide optimal coverage. Highly motivated self-starter with a desire to help others and able to socialize ideas and influence decisions without direct authority Collaborative in nature with a strong desire to dig in and learn independently as well as through asking questions
