The role requires expertise in managing legal contracts, negotiations, and risk mitigation in the transport and distribution industry.This position is based in Mumbai and involves providing legal support for third-party logistics operations.

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal contracts, including vendor agreements and service contracts.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in the transport and distribution industry.
Independently draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts including procurement (RFQs, tenders) contracts, customer agreements, service-level agreements, and strategic partnerships.
Lead customer negotiations and conclude contracts with minimal supervision, ensuring alignment with business goals and legal standards.
Collaborate with business teams to structure contracts and mitigate contractual risks.
Utilize Contract Lifecycle Management tool (CLM) to manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including reviewing, drafting, approval workflows, execution, renewal, and repository management. Key metrics include maintaining an average contract turnaround time of 3-5 business days depending on complexity, limiting review iterations to three or fewer, ensuring that contracts are processed through the CLM system, and conducting quarterly CLM training sessions.

Candidates with commercial contracts & M&A experience only applyCandidates with 8 - 12 years of experience to applyThe ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.· Strong expertise in contract review and negotiation.· Ability to work independently and collaboratively with different departments in a large corporate set-up in a fast-paced environment.· Good working knowledge of the fundamental legal provisions of commercial contracts, database management and Analytics of the same· Excellent communication skills with a strong attention to detail.· Knowledge of current and legally binding Commercial contractual language and terminology· Clear adherence to company policies and procurement rules and regulationsQualifications :· Prior experience in logistics sector would be an added advantage;· working with a reputed law firm and/or a large, diversified company with 10+ years of experience in commercial contracts.· Experience with legal workflow tools or contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems.· Exposure to drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).· Familiarity with compliance software and reporting tools.· Experience in preparing monthly team MIS reports.· Sectoral experience in Rail, Ports and Terminal, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or manufacturing industries is a distinct advantage.The hiring company is a well-established large organization operating in the logistics and distribution industry.
