Responsibilities:
  • Mechanical Operations Management: Lead the planning, execution, and supervision of all mechanical engineering activities related to power plant machinery, equipment, and auxiliary systems, ensuring alignment with operational goals and timelines.
  • Maintenance Strategy Development: Develop and implement predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance programs to optimize asset availability and reduce downtime, while enhancing the lifecycle of mechanical assets.
  • Project Management: Oversee mechanical aspects of new projects, upgrades, and retrofits, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and quality completion within budgetary constraints.
  • Technical Leadership and Troubleshooting: Provide expert guidance and support for diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical issues, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining safety and compliance standards.
  • Vendor and Contractor Coordination: Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers to ensure the procurement and quality of mechanical parts and services, negotiating contracts that align with company objectives.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all mechanical operations comply with statutory regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines, promoting a culture of safety and risk mitigation across the mechanical team.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare and manage budgets for mechanical engineering activities, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
  • Team Development and Mentorship: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing mechanical engineering team, fostering a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish KPIs for mechanical operations, regularly monitor performance, and generate detailed reports to inform senior management for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized university.
