  • Responsible for manufacturing Medium voltage Air Insulated switchboard (33KV and 11KV) from suppliers based at Mumbai Locations.
  • Receipt of the new order loading, reviewing the order, identifying the vendor and sending the order loading drawings to Vendor.
  • Order Processing: To review the order, line item wise with the vendor & identify the special requirements for manufacturing & procurement and give clarity on unclear points in the Order to vendor.
  • Decide monthly priority for each vendor as per equipment availability and delivery requirement and get the monthly schedule from all vendors.
  • Daily production planning and control as per Monthly production planning / turnover targets. Need to Exhibit accurate planning skills in order to achieve on time customer deliveries
  • Addressing Equipment BOM issues, Engineering related queries, DTO related queries of Vendors to produce Siemens quality switchboard in the desired time frame
  • Busbar scheduling for monthly planned orders and follow up with busbar vendor for timely availability as per monthly production plan for all vendors at Mumbai Location
  • To give delivery confirmation along with Factory acceptance date for the orders.
  • Visiting vendors regularly for follow up activity.
  • Prepare “txt file” and downloading JT order wise and sending JT to vendor for panel assembly.
  • Resolve daily problems raised during assembly/wiring stage during daily visit at APS.
  • Submission of the order costing received from Vendor with all order related inputs/Backup for Technical/SPR costing checking.
  • Follow up for order Purchase order with SPR/Logistic.
  • Coordinate with Third part inspectors for order inspection at vendors and with Logistic/SQA for deviation/Dispatch confirmation.
  • Coordinate for replacement of defective/ faulty and wrong supplies. Raise NCR wherever required.
  • Coordination with vendors for material/compliance for points observed during final testing at Siemens Factory.
  • Organize, lead, and execute improvement topics and activities at vendor end. Ensure implementation of any change in standards, practices, drawings in processes, products and orders as per the inputs provided by Siemens team.
  • Participate actively in vendor process audit and drive the improvement suggested in Audit.
  • Demonstrate skillsets for effective supplier and sub supplier management.
  • To have a focus on Quality, Safety and have basic knowledge on management standards.
  • Allocate work to union workmen, get assembly done according to SOPs, follow up on material, keep track of processes and tools, so that, work can be accomplished with safety, good quality, and without cost overruns.
  • Coordinate with different departments (such as Logistics, Warehouse, Design etc) to get the assembly done.
  • Position requires a good understanding of the Manufacturing as well as Logistics processes, since the candidate will be required to liaise between the two departments in order to track and provide missing material required for unhindered production.
  • Monitor and record key performance indicators (KPI) for assembly groups. If necessary, initiate measures to resolve or mitigate problems.
  • Conduct meetings with the team of workmen to provide status updates and give regular feedback to workmen about safety & quality issues.
  • Able to make presentations to colleagues and superiors.
  • Plan, assign and assist in the training and development of workmen in your team. Track progress by updating the skills matrix of workmen.
  • Take up small improvement projects alongside the regular production activities to help improve current assembly processes.
  • Preparing for and handling of internal & external ISO audit. (Documentation, processes, employee training)
  • Willing to wait beyond working hours to meet the daily targets.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
  • This role is based in Mumbai.
  • We are seeking for a professional with Qualification of B.E (Mech/Electrical) up to 4-5 years of successful experience in a directly related field.
  • Candidate must have professional English written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills to communicate and interact effectively as a leader for the assigned production area.
  • Should have good grasp of manufacturing processes.
  • Should have electrical and mechanical drawing reading skill.
  • Should be well versed with IT tools MS office, MS Word, MS Excel, Copilot
  • Result and solution oriented and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of Lean manufacturing process will be an added advantage.
  • Having a knowledge about JT2GO, NXTools, Teamcenter, SAP, M-tool, etc. will be an added advantage
